Mile High

In Mile High by Liz Tomforde, seasoned flight attendant Stevie Shay takes a job on the Chicago Raptors' private team jet, only to clash immediately with Evan Zanders, the NHL's most notoriously arrogant and unfiltered playboy. Having sworn off athletes after a painful past relationship, Stevie is determined to keep her distance from Zanders, whose massive public ego masks deep-seated childhood trauma and hidden mental health advocacy. However, as weeks of forced proximity during gruelling away-game road trips breakdown their hostile defences, Zanders falls first, fiercely helping Stevie overcome her deep-seated body insecurities while she forces him to drop his public "bad boy" persona for the real thing
